Here are our recommendations for checking the fit of your new shoes:
- Try the shoes on a surface that will not mark them to check the size and fit. Please note that marked the shoes cannot be returned for an exchange or refund. Feet change shape during the day so try your shoes on in the afternoon ideally as that is when feet are larger. A slightly looser shoe is better than one that is too tight. An insole can help to take up extra space.
- Wear your usual socks or hosiery that you would wear for this type of shoe to ensure the correct thickness of hosiery is comfortable.
- Ensure you try both shoes on and that they are well fastened.
- Stand with your weight evenly distributed.
- Check that you can wiggle your toes and there are no pressure points.
- Go for a short walk (inside on a surface that will not mark them) to check that the shoes are not slipping and that they feel comfortable whilst walking.
